Matilda Jane's LAST Spring release and a FREE gift

hellooooooooo friends!

I'm blogging, so that means the computer's a-workin'.

Glory be.

Next Wednesday (May 15), I'll be hosting a virtual show for the last release of Matilda Jane Clothing's Spring line, Good Hart. I will also be celebrating the fact that I gave birth on that date 4 years ago to a little gal by the name of Eliza. In fact, 4 years ago on that date, we barely had time to make it to the hospital before that little gal was poppin' outta me, but that's neither here nor there.

I'll be offering free hair accessories again with each purchase made from my virtual show, and if you're unsure of what a virtual show is, it's just like an in-home show except that you're strictly looking at the items online. Shopping 'virtually', if you will. My trunk keeper will be showing the pieces at her home that morning, and I'll be glad to give you more deets on that if you're local.

Below are some sneak peeks of a few items that will be added to the collection on the 15th, as well as some pics of a few of the accessories I made to coordinate with this line. And can I just take a moment to say how fun it is for me to make custom pieces? I mean, if there ever comes a day when I can't teach music, can I just have a little corner with some fabric and a needle & thread? Because #Ilovestosew

I also love to hashtag.

And, just a reminder that MJC also sells adult clothing. Here are a few pieces for the over 14 crowd...

Feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you have questions, and....

happy Friday to ya!

Matilda Jane Spring line and a FREE GIFT

Howdy friends! It's time for Matilda Jane's Spring line, "Good Hart", to make it's debut! This is the BIGGEST collection yet, with more adult pieces than ANY of the previous collections, as well as a plethora of duds for the littles, tweens, and teens.

Yes.

Plethora.

There are clothes for itty-bitty gals as well as their grandmas, and EVERYONE in between. (sizes begin at 6 months for littles and run through 12/14 tween and adult XS-XL)

Matilda Jane Clothing is an online-only company and the ONLY way to see the clothes in person is to attend a trunk show, which I'll be having at my house on February 3. You are ALL invited to come and check out all of the new duds, and if you live in a land far far away, you can check them all out online beginning February 1 and place your order with my trunk keeper. You can also pretend to be here, eating virtual carrot sticks and cake pops. It will be loads of fun, pinky swear.

For every purchase made at my show, either in person or virtually from a land far far away, I will be giving away a custom-made hair accessory of your choosing. I've already gotten a jump on things, buying coordinating fabrics for the sneak peeks that I've seen so far. If you know Matilda Jane, you know how secretive they are of a line before it's actually 'for sale' to the public, only posting a few sneak peeks on their blog and occasionally on twitter and instagram. I've collected all of the pics I've found so far and thought I'd post them here. All together. In one place.

Check the clothes out online on Feb 1, and check them out in person if you're local, or party with us virtually if you're not. If you'd like to place an order, simply fill out a wishlist online and e-mail it to my trunk keeper, Lana, at

lanap@matildajaneclothing.com

and tell her it's for my party. Only about a week left, friends.
Can't wait to shop with ya!
Happy Wednesday!

Flashback Friday

Happy Friday to ya! Before I get to today's flashback, I must first state to the blogoshpere, and to the universe, that I am currently wearing a pair of white jeans that haven't seen the light of day in 6, yes SIX years because the faculty at my school is taking our annual photo today in black shirts and white jeans. I assumed that since I haven't purchased white jeans since Justin Beiber was still you-tubing that perhaps I'd have to stand in the back in a pair of khakis, which I was fine with. However, I knew I'd kept these babies around in the chance that someday I could shed those 70+ pregnancy pounds and once again flit about in a pair of white pants.

All of the pounds have definitely not been shed, but these things are on me and zipped with only minimal muffin toppage, so get ready.

I'm about to flit about.

In white jeans.

Moving on.

Today's flashback Friday post is a look back at the first time I had the privilege to do Into the Woods. The year was 1995 and I played Cinderella. My director was Linda Bonds (shout out to ya, Mrs. B, if you happen to be reading!) and I was a sophomore in high school. I loved this show. Correction, I still love this show. I was also heavily into traditional scrapbooking at the time, so without further adieu, I give you a glimpse into MK's scrapbook, circa 1996.

If you attended Hillcrest between the years of 1995-2011? then you're well aware that the Milky White from this production went on to roles in every single theatrical production after this one. Not quite sure when he stopped making appearances, which is why I have a question mark next to the year, but he's famous. Totally famous. And this was his first show.

Yes, I cut out a pic of Jack and stuck him in a beanstalk.

Yes, I totally cut those trees out by hand.

I also cut the letters by hand since this is pre-cricut invention.

Isotoner house shoes and a black Ironman watch.
Awesome.

School begins for us on Monday and rehearsals for Into the Woods, Jr have been underway for a week now. Good-bye Summer, hello crazy busy hectic Fall schedule. I hope that all of you had an awesomely wonderful week and that you have a fabulous start to the school year. If you're already IN school, then I hope it's going swimmingly!

Don't forget- my trunk show is tomorrow for the new line of Matilda Jane. If you'd like to see the goods in person, my trunk keeper will be here from 2-4, and if you're not local but would like to place an order, you can e-mail me at funnygirl33180(at)aol(dot)com. You can view the first release of this collection online now, and here are a few of my faves-

Character Counts

I have to start things off today by stating that this happens to be the 400th blog post I've written. That seems like craziness, but it's true. Thank you for reading and for laughing at with me, and for telling me you can relate to my silly stories about poo, and thank you for holding my hand and telling me it would be okay if I did, in fact, end up buying a mini van. Thank you.

And now, to what this post is really about- Character Counts.

Matilda Jane's Fall collection will be available (on the website) on the 15th of August, and the entire collection will be AT MY HOUSE for you to pick up and look at and try on your little gal or yourself on the 18th of August. (The original date I posted last week had to be changed because of open house at my school) If you're new to Matilda Jane Clothing, it's a line of uber-fabulous clothes that comes in sizes 6 month-12 tween for girls and in S, M, and L for adults. You can see lots of fab pics and listen to me gush about it HERE  and HERE. You can also look at past collections on their website HERE.

**BIG HUGE GIGANTIC ANNOUNCEMENT** I'll be giving away a FREE custom hair accessory (headband or clip) with every purchase. I'll customize it to match the new collection, OR I'll customize a piece to match something you or your child/grandchild already have in their closet. Sound good? Awesome.

Since you can't even view the Fall collection online yet, I thought I'd gather all of the sneak peak photos MJC has posted so far and put them here. Together. For your viewing pleasure.

Here's an invite for ALL of you out there in blogland- if you're local, I'd love for you to come and take a look at the clothes yourself! If you live in a kingdom far, far away, you can shop online and place an order with my trunk keeper.

You can contact me through a comment on this post, or by e-mailing me at Funnygirl33180(at)aol(dot)com. **I'll honor the freebie hair accessory no matter where you are! I'll even ship to you for free if you place an order from the trunk show and you're not local!**

Stella and Dot

Happy Thursday friends! I wanted to let you know about a party I'm hosting tomorrow for my good friend, Kathryn, who is a brandspankin' new stylist for Stella and Dot. If you're not familiar with Stella and Dot, it's a fab jewelry line full of gorgeous pieces in a spectrum of price points. You can spend a little or a lot, it all depends on what you're looking for, and there are even pieces for the itty-bitty girls in our lives! Kathryn will bring all of her gorgeous pieces to my crib tomorrow (4-6), but you can also submit an order online by visiting this link: http://shop.stelladot.com/style/b2c_en_us/shop.html

Here are a few of my faves...

I also LOVE that every piece is delivered in its own beautiful box.
Cardboard on the outside, but pure loveliness on the inside.

I have two pieces of Stella and Dot jewelry and they are absolutely two of my fave pieces to wear. If you have any questions or would like to place an order, you can e-mail me at Funnygirl33180@aol.com

Happy day to ya!
